I just saw where yesterday the Premier of the Socialist Republic of CA signed into law a bill slapping a 11% excise tax on all firearms and ammo purchases in the state.Theoretically the money is to fund firearm safety classes. However, as always happens in CA, the money will go into the general fund, where it will ultimately be used to fund the many welfare programs CA is known for…. thumbdown

OK, it's another tax. What violence prevention programs will it fund? How will they work?

Like I said, CA has a long history of taking taxes earmarked for a single purpose, diverting the revenue into the general fund, then pissing it away. Think Central Valley bullet train project. Billions spent, interminable delays and not a single mile of track in use after 10+ years …..
