I wanted to post this here so everyone can be on the lookout. My son that lives in Austin took all his handguns + a couple of mine to his place in North Austin (gated community) to clean them. Some one broke in his garage + stole them all.A Lew Horton S+W 44spl. mod. 24,a S/S vaquero 45 LC w/ buffalo horn black grips + matching bowie on the gun belt,S+W 1911 in box w/custom grips inlaid w/ turquoise, Bisley in 44 mag., a lend lease 38 S+W + then the 2 of mine that they stole as well. A Mauser C96 broomhandle in a case w/ shoulder stock, takedown tool, strippers, etc. That one should be easy to spot as they are fairly rare these days + a 1905 S+W 1 st model hand ejector in 32-20. The cops said to keep an eye online to gunbroker,Tx. guntrader, etc. as they seem to be moving stolen guns online now more than the pawn shops.Just wanted to post this so if anyone sees something PLEASE contact me + can contact the police. Thanks in advance. Never mistake motion for action.

So sorry. I hate thieves. Gun thieves more than regular thieves. Hope you get your guns back soon. Mike

Thanks Mike, just wanted to post so the word would go out + more can be on the lookout.I've got some friends checking the gun shows as well.I think that the broomhandle Mauser in the case is rare enough to cause notice. Thanks again for your reply. Never mistake motion for action.

And to add injury to injury, in some states there is a push to hold lawful gun owners responsible for the crimes committed by the thieves while using stolen guns. Typical "liberal logic". BH63 Hunting buff is better than sex!

Along those same BS laws,a customer of mine in Round Rock came out in the morning + saw that his wife's car that was parked on the street in front had been jacked up.put on blocks + had the tires stolen. He called the cops to file a report. The cops told him that they would not give him a ticket this time for leaving a dismantled vehicle on the street. Never mistake motion for action.

Randy, I am sick to hear this. Hope some of those beauties turn up and lead the police to the G.d. perpetrator. There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author

In Canada, we have a thing called safe storage. There's something to be said for gun safes. Grizz Indeed, no human being has yet lived under conditions which, considering the prevailing climates of the past, can be regarded as normal. Lavaca, you would know better than me,but the word is 10 years for the burglary + an additional 5 years due to the firearms theft.I hope they fry their ass. I have been robbed myself years ago + I understand the feeling of frustration + personal invasion;much like a rape victim I suppose but I can not make that correlation truthfully from a women's point of view.I do it know it from mine. And yes, when we are dealing with items that are a part of ones life,I/E presents from Dad after a lifetime then I feel that to the culprits, that castration is too small a price to pay.I have a Mexican friend that tells me that there are areas in the desert where no one can hear you scream.Heaven help me for my mind going this way;but I did'nt start it."
