The store in the village is an official Fish@Wildlife reporting/weigh station. Turkeys can be reported on-line, but folks want to get a bite to eat anyway and stop in.
Couple young fellows were outside this noon with a nice Tom. As I was going in the store, the girl at the counter was coming out with the scales. She asked if I would grab the tape measure for her by the cash register.
I came out with it as she finished weighing the bird, and said " now I need to measure the beard and spurs"
I said, And dont forget to pull a tooth so they can age it.
She said No, they didnt leave any envelopes for them"
Gotta love those blonds!
