My comments are for the Army only. The Army has had male/ female PT standards for over 25 years. When the change of jobs open to women was first announced, stated that a top to bottom review of ALL MOSs requirements would be conducted. Read, reduce standards across the board for both males and females. How this is going to be handled in regular units has not been addressed. Another pitfall is body weight, the standards for F/M are not the same . What happens when a F has to carry a load of 6-70% of her body weight? You have increased injury rates, ok in training but fatal in combat. One last thought, Ranger, SF, SOF traing is not all about individual effort. If you can not carry your share of the load, in training, should the team trust you when the SHTF? Yackman | ||
