Grizzly AdamsLet's face it, lot of things to go wrong with a recycled rail boiler. These guys were venturing where no one had gone before. Seems to me the Hunley sank twice before, killing it's crew, including it builder. Always some one trying to make a name for himself by coming up with a new theory.

BobsterWell there is the small matter of the shell penetration into the coning tower. She was very close to the Housatonic when the blast occurred, maybe 25 feet. Likely the crew was hammered by the underwater blast as well.
