I used to be active investing in oil and gas and mlp space and somehow sidestepped the bloodbath in 2014 and have been away for a last 3 years.

I was reviewing the macro and company projections and it is amazing what we have done in domestic oil and gas production and the revolution of fracing.

The Permian field in west Texas in 10 years could produce 8-10 mil barrels a day. That is more than Iran, Iraq, UAE, Nigeria or Angola.

If I was Saudi Arabia or Russia I would be terrified.

Add in electrics cars, associated natural gas, solar I could see a Saudi Arabia focused on its second biggest export in 20 years - dates.

It's amazing, isn't it? All of the Mathusians who said we'd run out of oil by the year 2000 had no understanding of Capitalism, the profit motive and technology.

A lot is due to the late George Mitchell.

I will say the big rush that occurred a few years ago put a new pickup and bass boat in many driveways. It also helped the bars and dealers. The infrastructure had to catch up and it was all down the line. The severe drop, however, hurt.

I meant to be DSC Member...bad typing skills.
