Hi Saeed,
You can, if you are a big time TV star. You don't even need to train, just shoot.

Years ago, as a kid, I watched a lot of westerns on TV. I always assumed Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, The Cisco Kid, Hopalong Cassidy, Tex Ritter, Lash Larue, The Lone Ranger, etc. all fired "six-shooters"; except they never reloaded that revolver. The shots never resulted in any visible recoil either.

The other case of suspended reality was when the bad guys would be galloping off at full speed while the "white hats" chasing them at full speed would be knocking the "black hats" off their horses consistently. I'm relatively sure I would have a difficult time hitting the side of a stationary house from the back of a galloping horse.

More power to them. I think when I started noticing these inconsistencies, I also stopped believing in the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus.

The new Hollyweird thing is one gets into a building, with gun in hand, expecting fireworks at any second.

But, loads his gun just before he fires! rotflmo

I always get a kick out of how the hero of the day on the big screen cycles the action on his pump action shotgun numerous times as an intimidation effect prior to firing it or even more obvious, after the shotgun has been fired numerous times and a break in the action is followed by cycling the action again once the next round of action begins!

My wife and I often watch early episodes of Gunsmoke. The thing that gets us is how they say if is just a shoulder shot. People sure must have been tougher back then!

Saeed- you haven't really seen anything until you've watched re-runs of "Cannon."

In one episode, Cannon (William Conrad) picks off a guy at 100yds with a .38spc snubnose in a seemingly point-and-shoot manner.

Hilarious!

What drives me nuts is some episodes of tv shows using a rifle without any scope or sites and hitting what the idiot is pointing at. (I can't say he was aiming at anyone because he didn't have anything to aim with) I have seen this on "Walker Texas Ranger" and some others. My wife tells me I am just being too critical, and I should write the producers and get a job as firearms consultant.LOL

Yep.that's another reason that I quit commenting. BTW,remember in our youth "Davy Crockett,King Of The Wild Frontier"?Remember him at the turkey shoot when he wins because the judge says "Why I've never seen such shooting;2 bullets through the same hole."Right!,well I still hold that as a high ideal of my childhood.

I remember reading the story about Ad Tupperwine being asked to field test the new BAR in 1917. The army guys threw up a washer + he hit it (right through the hole in the center). They did'nt believe him of course so they put a piece of tape over the hole + did it again. Now there was proof.

Of course, you do, just ask anyone who shot against you in trap.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

If you think he is a good shot, check out Dano (Scott Caan). He holds his pistol above his head many times with the gun tilted down at at strange angle, he also practices the lateral ghetto hold at times. homer

Well you know he was Matt Dillon on the radio...…………………..
