Need a GPS system showing forest trails and such for riding in New Mexico.
Is any such thing at a reasonable price?

I use a Garmin rino and purchased map downloads. It came in very handy.

I use a Garmin Oregon with Kirsch's Outdoor Products land ownership software. It shows roads, waterways, trails, etc. plus land ownership. Makes it a snap to navigate and stay on accessible public land.

Take a serious look at Gaia Premium. It will work on your smartphone and on your computer. No cell service necessary and it will do exactly what you want. Very user-friendly.

From my experiences, GPS has gotten a LOT better than it was a few years back.

Even the rocks don't last forever.
