What was rigged to cause the spin?
Had to be something that was being acted upon by the rotor wash!

Basket wants to rotate from rotor wash. There is a rope on one end of what the firemen in first report called a "Screamer Basket" the ground crew hangs on to. This rope broke. It is not very strong in case it snags on something the chopper is not dragged down.
Payloads carried a long distance sometimes have a small parachute attached to prevent rotating.

Wonder who's gonna clean up the puke out of that bag. I was gonna say it can't be much worse that a ship to ship transfer from a bocsmans chair but after watching that I'm not so sure. Many years ago I went with some family to snow sky in Aspen. My mother (on her LAST trip) broke a leg near the top. They sent in a ER team w/ sled, strapped down + took off down the mountain at Mach 5 (or so it seemed).Scared her to death.

Never mistake motion for action.
