I'm interested if anyone else has heard about this. A buddy called me up with this info but I would like to know more;like,if it's true.Seems that several states have enacted this law that allows the police to enter premises W/0 warrant to seize any guns on the property simply because an anonoumus caller called in to say he/she was a threat. (Lets read,ANY ex anything;husband, boyfriend, girlfriend, wife, lover,ad nauseum)Sounds sci-fi scary + it is. Oh DUH.Due Process, what? What he told me was that several states (not Texas, thank God) had instated it. Massachusetts being the forerunner (no surprise) + had the cops come to this mans door to seize his guns on the testimony of his ex wife that he was (unstable). He knew what was coming so he resisted;so they shot + killed him.You can see where I'm going with this.

There is something more-or-less like that in California. A proposal to expand the class of accusers didn't come to pass but I suspect the proposal will be back, cross-dressed as firearms safety.

Yes they are, but it seems that the laws get put in place without the gun owners in the particular jurisdiction being aware of what is taking place.

True that. There is quite a bit that goes on in the legal (not justice) system that we are not aware of. Another case in point;I have a buddy that is a Travis Co. deputy that when doing his rounds if he has time stops in to the shop for a coke + b,s, time. One day he shows up + had a dead battery on the ground that m son who worked for TXDOT was going to take it to the disposal unit. Jeff says, you know I can arrest you for that. I said,What? He says, putting a battery on the ground. Put a piece of wood or metal under it then it's legal. Seems the environmental lobby got this law passed. He said,we don't enforce it much unless we want to go in somewhere that we don't have a warrant. Along with the above, these are strange days indeed.
