Budweiser puts out some awesome commercials - this is no exception.
Nike chooses Colin Kaepernick to promote their brand.

Compare this to Budweiser (open link below).

Buy Adidas or Under Armor & have a Bud.

It was filmed in Arizona and the folks on board didn't know where they were going or why.

Budweiser outdid themselves with this one.....

Not my favorite brew, but that’s really cool.

I also see how they can water for hurricane victims.

I’ll have to buy some Budweiser the next time.

I own a conv. store & sell an awful lot of Budweiser beer there, but today when I go in I'll buy a 12pk to bring home just because of this patriotic ad.
Shame on nike!

I Guess, to us non Americans that's corny, using patriotism to sell beer. Wink

Nice advertisement...

I wonder how much that little fly-over stunt cost?

Considering the fact that on any given night in the USA there are approximately 50,000 homeless veterans living on the street, I , for one, feel that the time, effort, and $$$,$$$ the D.O.D. and Budweiser expended could have been put to better use.

I don't know. That statement seems a lot like the story of the guy who asks the fellow riding a new Harley how much the bike costs and when told $20K the guy remarks how that $20K could have been better spent helping the needy. Response by the bike owner being that purchasing the bike provides jobs for countless people upline and downline of the manufacturing, delivery, sales pipeline and the provision of said jobs prevents a certain number of people from being jobless in and of itself as well as providing income to those who feel the compassion to do so to make donations to their charity of choice.

I say good on Bud for taking the opportunity to publicly support those who have and are serving our country. Per the OP, it stands in stark contrast to a company like NIKE who aligns itself with the likes of Kapernik.

It still bothers me that Budweiser isn't an American company anymore.

So was Belgium just pandering to our patriotic tendencies to sell more beer / make more money? I would say so.

What the heck is wrong with making more money?
I try to do that everyday.
It was a brilliant ad campaign IMHO.

Nothing at all!

Especially if you can do it in such a manner!

Providing a product people want to purchase, advertising it in a way that makes people proud to purchase something they want anyway AND donating part of the proceeds to such a worthy cause.

Then there are those that think differently, the disciples of Hugo Chavez and Barak Obama.....

Nopride2,do they still make Olympia beer up there? Once upon a time ,just like Lone Star,it was a good beer.New owners change recipes that have worked for years;as the old adage goes,'If it ain't broke, don't fix it.'

Very true. Lone Star was once brewed by Miller, but was owned by a family trust up north, I think. Many brands were basically the same brew.

The best Budweiser I’ve had recently was in Argentina. Once again, it was probably another brew in a Budweiser bottle. However, I’ll drink almost any brand if it’s cold.

Olympia is still made. Don't know who's brewing it. In the '60s Oly dominated the market in Washington. Their business crashed when the president of the company was caught soliciting sex in a men's room.
