Just read a tidbit at Yahoo about a new Navy Warship to be dedicated to Lt. Michael Murphy. For those of you that do not know about this SEALs story you should read the book written by his best friend Marcus Luttrell Lone Survivor. We owe LT. Murphy a huge debt of gratitude and a US Naval ship named on his behalf is absolutely right on. God bless Michael Murphy, Danny Dietz, Matthew Axelson, and Marcus Luttrell for their service to my country. These guys and guys like them are second to none.

Just finished the book a few weeks ago and I still think about it daily. Had a big impact on me!!

What those guys went through is beyond my comprehension.....I just thank the Good Lord that he created men with that kind of courage and resolve. May God rest their souls patriot

That they are naming a ship after Lieutenant Murphy fills me with hope that even within the midst of all our political BS the powers that be (read: military) still understand what really matters.

Regards,
Scott

I've read the book also. Amazing young men that few Americans truly know what they go through, in training, and in battle. There's a hunting show with Marcus as a regular - "Wild-" something. ("Wild & Raw"?) Not bad. I do think the young man will always carry severe scars, physical and psychological, from what he saw, the friends he lost and what he went through for all of our sakes.
