Who would be interested in a gated community where all homeowners were life members of the NRA and it was advertised, Interior security, where a common area might include an indoor shooting range, all within the city of Houston. Sounds like utopia to me. Any interest in a development?

I'd advise not working with Hal Woods, a California developer who shut down the Inland Fish and Game shooting range... TomP Our country, right or wrong. When right, to be kept right, when wrong to be put right. Carl Schurz (1829 - 1906)

Not interested in living in a 'gated community' of any type, or having a homeowners association attempting to enforce their vision of what my home and yard should look like. Nor would I want to live next to, much less have to socialize with, the kind of people who feel they need to live in a gated community.

No way to do that in a large city with an anti gun dem majority (those go together you know). Even in the South. They shut down our public range that I had been shooting on since the '60s. I had to join a private shooting club 15 miles out of town. Anyway, I don't care for gated communities either. And condos even less. Thing is, you're legally responsible for everybody else's problems, repairs, common areas etc etc. No thanks. But, I can see the attraction when you get old, can't take care of the house anymore, and the gated feature looks like your ticket to avoid a major city's violence.
