I went thru my German shepherd - cash - box of stuff looking for some shampoo. What do I find - a box of N95 face mask - I bought them to use when I brush him and he sheds like crazy. I kept 6 for my family. The rest I am sending off to a friend in nyc who has cancer and her surgery for thyroid cancer is on hold in the age of covid. Mike

My Mother, God bless her in her retirement age is sewing masks for free for people in the central Texas area. The problems are that now there is NO elastic to be found. Keeps her busy + helping others. Never mistake motion for action.

Thumbs up to Beretta and NC's mother. Maybe use rubber bands since they are short term use.

God bless you all, and thank you for stepping up on behalf of others. This is how we roll here -- or so I prefer to believe, the PF aside. There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author

Yes indeed. Mom just leaves them in a bag on the porch with folks' names on the bag. One lady who used to sew found a spool of elastic + left it for her. Another guy left her a $10.00 bill. She called him up to say she didn't want any money. He just said, Use it for postage. A lot of good people out there. Sometimes it takes a crisis like this to remind people to pull together. Never mistake motion for action.

Another 2 mask form my family collection goes to a buddy in NYC. He was at his in-laws in Westchester. His father in law is a famous now old school Wall Street big shot who has also served in very high profile republican administrations. My buddy bought a high end elliptical machine to use in the quarantine. It was delivered by 2 Mexican and a gringo who managed to push it up small hill to the mansion. They were sweaty after the hard work. Somehow my buddy’s mother in law thought they were infected with covid. She thought he was too close to the delivery guys and kicked my buddy out of the house. His wife and child are in Westchester. He is back in nyc and has no mask or gloves. You can’t make this stuff up. So he gets a package from my dog with 2 n95 mask and some latex gloves. Mike
