What is this obsession with Palm Swells the last couple years? To me it makes a perfectly good looking stock ugly

'Last couple of years' ? When first invented it had a purpose .A slight bump to assist the indexing of the hand. Then those who couldn't figure it out copied it and made it bigger and bigger until it actually interfered with indexing the hand.Then it seemed to disappear .Now it's back again as a fad ??
