This happened a few years ago, before the explosion of the Internet. We kept getting faxes of offers from some company here, which actually wastes our paper and of no interest to us. I called them, and asked them to take us off their fax list. Did not work. I also had an answering machine in my PC, which I have built myself. It was an add on card, that had answering machine and a fax. All one had to do is connect a phone line to is. Not sure if any of you tried this, but trying to fax, from the computer, is very easy. All you need do is link to the text and off it goes. But, if you send, by fax, an .exe file, all hell breaks loose. Sending a program like WORD.EXE by fax will send several hundred pages, some have only a few letters on each page, mostly gibberish. I made a cover note, saying I have asked them to stop wasting our paper, and off WORD.EXE went. I made sure I sent late in the day, to make sure it blocks their fax machine - very few fax machines have the capacity of this fax. Never heard from them again!

You can also send a few hundred copies of a black page. Say goodbye to their ink supply!

A guy I know was being bugged by another fellow who wanted to be his friend. One day this other fellow said he was going grocery shopping and was there anything he could pick up for him. He told him he could really use a large cucumber and a jar of Kentucky jelly. Never heard from the guy again .

Very true. But this way from a computer it is much easier.

I did that with the black paper a few years ago when I was getting inundated with telemarketers = Tella faxes at night, that woke me up, used my ink, + promoted something that I + had no interest in. Never mistake motion for action.

We gave up fax and land lines for dead at the turn of the century, which I may remind you was now in excess of two decades ago. Luddite All We Know Is All We Are
