A lot of stuff can be said about Elon Musk emotional stability and judgements.

But show me one other person who said I am going to build a business/organization/company to go produce an electric car. The auto sector is the world’s most capital intensive industry where the average company has revenues the size of developed country gdp (gm had greater revenue than New Zealand when I was long the stock in 2014). He went in this sector and said I am going to build on the top end.

Not a pitch book or online sales business (caravan) but a hard physical product that will be measured. He went and built a car that outsold its comp - Mercedes s class - in f@cking Germany.

Then he goes and says I will build a rocket company in a world where his competitors are nasa/us government, eu, Russia, China and India. The non state competitor is a joint venture between Boeing and Lockheed. The damn military industrial complex had to form a jv to invest in that sector. Elon invests $100 mil of his own money and beats everyone. He has at 150x return on his investment in spacex.

How is he running a Ponzi scheme when he has not sold a share? He borrows of his own stock to invest in new ventures. He has full market risk.

He is the same age as me and he has managed to cause real global change. He is a man in the arena in my generation of business leaders

Funny how some criticize folks who see all the positive things Trump is accomplishing yet champion the likes of Musk and Soros.

Intellectual honesty is most certainly dead or is it just common wealth worship? Difficult to tell really...

Well, it had to happen. The Thai rescue diver that Musk said was a pedophile is suing the stupid shit. I hope he wins. Being a rich visionary doesn’t make a person smart. Oh, and BTW, the Saudi sovereign wealth fund that invested in Tesla is now investing in Tesla’s competitor. Hedging their bet??

Says The credited investor. You are degenerate liar who claims to run dozen hunting camps in Namibia but is too scared to post a picture or hunt report on AR. Wonder what happens when you run into a anti hunter - cower and cry I guess.

Next time you want to Know about Elon Musk or George Soros ask Paul Tudor Jones who you claim is your duck hunting buddy. Maybe he will tell you he wrote the intro to second edition of Soros Alachemy of Finance or when they held joint fund raisers for Obama.

Funny how you claim to know so much about me and yet whine that I do not divulge personal information on a public forum.

And you constantly remind us how educated and smart you are. rotflmo

I just want to be clear that I am not a Tesla believer. I have stated in here several times in discussions with Beretta682E that I think Tesla will go broke. Notwithstanding that position, I think it's stupid to attack a visionary like Musk just because he lights up a joint. I feel that Tesla is in the position of attacking an entrenched position. The first guy often gets killed. IMO that's what is going to happen to Tesla, however, Musk has done a helluva job with it so far.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

This is the part I have a problem with.

Tesla has never turned a profit. Not to comment unfairly as to a start up in the growth phase, I contrast Tesla with Amazon. Amazon was criticized early on as not making a profit but that was largely due to re-investment of actual operating profits ... distinctly different from the Tesla operations / growth model.

Tesla has managed to stay afloat largely due to government handouts and agenda driven investment in the absence of legitimate fundamentals. When government hand outs began to dry up, we see manipulative statements such as financing is in place to take the company private at $420 per share! Well that little blurb earned him an SEC investigation for possibly manipulating stock prices.

Tesla has never met a production benchmark set by Musk. Some see the Tent factory cobbling together Model 3's with spare parts as a stroke of genius. Others see it as a mark of desperation resulting from leaderships inability to get the main line functioning efficiently. I'm not sure temporarily meeting the production number through the use of a second inefficiently operating production line is really solving the core issue of poor operations / poor leadership. In any event, I don't think I'd want one of those "Tent" cars!!

Musk has successfully convinced some to invest in an agenda rather than a successfully self sustaining production/distribution model. Other than that, I ask what successful electric car company?

What helluva job?

Tesla reinvested any possible profits in maintaining the “ visionary’s “ life style. It’s expensive roll like a rock star. I’m sure that any quarter now, though, they will meet forecasts and prove the naysayers wrong. Hell, he may even put a permanent roof over his circus tent....

Elon got sued by sec as expected. Stock down at $275 - still up 15x from ipo.

Maybe if Elon gets kicked off board and management - appl goog or aman buys it. Appl would be optimal.

Still $50 over the $225 calls I used to be short. I got luck Big Grin
