Hopefully this will not get the same reaction HossFly's did, but I have updated my web site, hopefully some of the changes will make it easier to navigate thru the site. I am still in the process of making some revisions and have also added more links to some other hunting operations here in Texas, that I do not offer hunt for. I have NOT updated the recent change in license fees that are being instituted by TP&W. I will change that as soon as they are made official. Any and all comments are welcome, and YES, I know that some folks just cannot believe people will pay to hunt javelina, but times have changed, and land owners have figured out that people will actually pay to hunt the little S.O.B.s. CHC, How about posting the details of your hunts? >>Ladies and Gentlemen, Please have ALL the details of any hunts you offer included in your post. Details should include the trophy fees of any offered species, as well as any known incidental costs, such as charter fees, government taxes and so on. Your co-operation would be much appreciated.<< Thanks "You only gotta do one thing well to make it in this world" - J Joplin

Forgive me for being ignorant, but what details are you asking about? Everything is pretty well explained in the information on the site. Trophy Fees, there are none. The prices quoted, depending on the hunt package booked, are for the kill of 1 javelina, or 2 javelina and 1 turkey. Depending on the hunt package in question or booked, if a second javelina or a second turkey is killed, the prices for those additional animals is posted in the information. The costs for the licences are included, with this proviso in my post:
I am not going to list the cost of a license if I am not sure what it is going to be. TP&W recently proposed across the board increases on all licenses and permits but nothing has been published officially on their web site as of yet, when it is, I will update my site to show the new prices for the necessary license. I am still curious about the "Details" you are asking about? My hunts are pretty straight forward, simple affairs, with a high success rate. This is not travel to a foriegn country, although some folks believe that Texas is some what foriegn. Javelina do not carry antlers, nor do their hides square out at more than a couple of feet. There are record books for them, although skull size, not tusk size is the determining factor. As far as I know, there are no record books on Jack Rabbits/Grey Fox/Bobcat. I appreciate your comments, although I have a real hard time understanding how much more simple I could make the information regarding my hunts. Also, I do have information on how to contact me for any questions regarding my hunts, that has never been a problem for my past clients off of the AR. If there is something specific you need an answer for, I will do my best to provide the correct information. Even the rocks don't last forever.

CHC, Legit question and comments, thanks. As I read the rules imposed by the host, the details of the hunt should be listed. Please see the top post "Anyone Wishing To Offer Hunts Here Please Read". You should get a better response when all the details are included in your post. Good luck "You only gotta do one thing well to make it in this world" - J Joplin

All I am posting here, is that I have updated my web site, nothing more, nothing less. If you will look back thru the threads in this section, you will find this: I am trying to finish out my bookings for my 2009 Spring Turkey-Javelina Combo hunts and my Javelina Only hunts. I have also changed up the duration of these hunts from 4 night/3 day to 3 night/2 day. If a person wishes to add a day it is $50.00 per person, excluding non-hunting companions/observers. The booking period for the Spring Turkey-Javelina Combo hunts runs from April 18 till May 3rd. which is the end of Spring Turkey season in Pecos county. The price to AR members for the 3 night/2 day combination hunt is $800.00 with a second turkey if available @ $200.00. This hunt is for 1 Rio Grande strain turkey Gobbler and 2 javelina. As with all my hunts, predators and jackrabbits are included in the price. The price to AR members for a 3 night/2 day Javelina only hunt is &700.00 with a second javelina @ $100.00. This hunt can be booked from April 18 thru May 31. If a client wishes to bring a Non-Hunting companion/observer along for the hunt period, there is a charge of $100.00 to cover their meals and lodging for the hunt period. I posted that on Feb. 10, 2009, and then on April 8, 2009 I posted this info: Just got finished with my first round of hunts for Javelina and Spring Turkey-Javelina combo hunts. All hunters with the exception of one of the youths that was on one of the Javelina Only hunts were successful. The largest Javelina taken weighed in at 59 pounds and the largest turkey weighed 21 pounds 6 ounces, had a 10 inch beard and 1 and 1/2 inch spurs. Talked with the rancher, and am reducing the price of the 3 night/2day hunts by $50.00. The Spring Turkey-Javelina combo is $750.00, with a second turkey if available @ $200.00. The Javelina Only hunt is $650.00, with a second Javelina @ $100.00. When I am offering a hunt, I do post the details. As I said in my opening statement on this topic, I was just following the lead that Ryan set by announcing his re-work of his site, that is all. Even the rocks don't last forever.

Randall, I've been on your site before and it looks nicer now. No laughing, but I'd like to see some pics of Lora's food...and maybe more of the lodging. The whole thing has a nice Skeeter Skelton feel to it. If you know Skeeter - you'll know that's a complement. I own a Thompson Center Contender handgun of his in .357 Herrett; just the thing for those Javies. Matt

Randall, I would suggest adding some introductory text or title above the first picture so people know where they are and that it's your site. Also, some hyperlinks to jump to topics below would b helpful rather than scrolling to find items of interest. Also, I suggest making that first picture something a little less frightening. A hunter with a big smile will make a much better first impression inviting more attention. That serious scowl (frightening) you now see when you first arrive may put some people off and discourage more review. "Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult."

BadgerMatt, Thanks for the input. Getting pictures of the food is something I had not attempted but will try to do so during future updates. Taking pictures of the lodging has been difficult for me as I am not that good of a photographer, and it is possible that I will be doing the hunts out of a different house in 2010. Oday450, Thanks for your ideas also. I will play around with adding some of the text you mentioned. As far as the pictures of me go, that is about as good as it gets. I really don't like having my picture taken, also the sun was in my face some what. I know this will sound really stupid to many folks, but while I do laugh and have a lot of fun, I really don't smile and show my teeth that much, 1, because I need some dental work, but 2, and this one has stopped several conversations with folks, and made them think for a few minutes, but to my knowledge Humans are the only species that show their teeth as a sign of greeting. Among all other species, teeth baring, is a sign of aggression or defense. Just one of my hang ups but I believe Humans place too much importance on judging a person by first visual impressions, such as a smiling person is automatically "Better" in some intrinsic way than someone that doesn't, yet once the surface is scratched, I have found that often it is quite the reverse. None of that really has anything to do with hunting or making my website more appealing, even though it is what dictates how I manage my site, and why I usually don't place pictures of myself on the site. Once again Many Thanks for the input both of you gave. I will be posting my hunts for 2010 shortly, along with the prices for AR members. Even the rocks don't last forever.
