I have had nothing but the best experiences with AR members. So my question involves a buyer on another site, who agreed to buy a gun, I heard nothing for a week...so I called. The buyer says he forgot, and will get out funds by the end of the week. Five days later a check shows up with no FFL info. If someone tells me it may take 2 weeks to get funds, I'm good, especially with our members. However, I'm returning this guy's funds. Something is not right here. So, am I being a hard ass?

Just bought a handgun that was in Alabama. The owner shipped from an FFL to an FFL near me. All was good. I sent the appropriate amount of money through Zelle. Bank account to bank account. All secure. No up-charge and done in 2 minutes with receipts. All I needed was his name and phone number. He laughed at how fast and easy it was. I called the FFL on my end and he will call me when it arrives. You are not being a hard ass. If it does not feel right, it isn't.

I agree. Although everything MIGHT be alright, it's not worth it. Protect yourself. I agree with having excellent dealings with everyone here on A.R. If the world would perform the same way we would be in a grand state.
Were you a hard ass, yes. I would have done the same as you. There can be mitigating circumstances on why the delay in funds being sent or missing ffl info, but it only takes a minute to jump on a computer and explain why the delay. Lack of communication is unacceptable.
