When a dangerous animal stands back up after being shot is no time to holster your weapon.

Maybe it reflects my absolute incompetence with handguns or my zero experience in law enforcement/military but I have no idea why any cops would get into a situation like this without a shotgun.

I gotta say, those Officers showed a lot of restraint. That guy wanted suicide by cop. Wish there were more like them.

I see a fire truck with a high pressure hose available. No tazers ? A knife is only deadly as far as one can reach. Confused

There is still more than enough of that mindset going on today to suit my tastes, but as I have said many times, If you let them dress up as stormtroopers, they will start to act like them. Don't get me wrong; the police force has its job of protection of the populace (although they sometimes deny that part) but the fact remains that for the vast majority most LEO's are there to help + not harass. Unfortunately, the media is more than happy to provide more of the latter.

All that being said, I doubt that I personally would wait that long to take him out. I suppose that is a big difference in the fact that I don't have the virtue of restraint.
