I am fishing eastern fields in Papua New Guinea in March.

I can get to Port Morsbey via either Manila or Brisbane.

Any recommendations on which city to stay ?

I know they are apples and oranges but my main factors are

Need a nice comfortable hotel for 2 days before and 3 days after. I will be dead tired being offshore for 7 days. On the return I plan to basically sleep and relax.

I don't want the hassle of renting a car - need good private transportation to get around.

I have been to neither places but big Asian cities don't bother me.

Thanks,

Mike

For pay to play women, by all means Manila. If you're too dead tired for that, you need to quit fishing.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

Trip cancelled.

The outfitter cancelled without informing the booking agent or me.

The booking agent kept telling me to book a flight - 44 hrs to Port Morsbey. The flight was $2900 in coach.

Glad I double checked on Facebook before booking the flight. I miss the professionalism of African hunting.
