I had a friend call me and ask me about a photo he had recently seen of a woman in a cap that had a patch that described her as a veteran of the battle of the bulge.I know that we did not send women into combat in those days but,Wacs,Waves,nurses/mobile hospitals?I'm curious. If ever there was a case of if you can't take it don't dish it out, this would be it. I don't see John C's comment as being out of line. Numerous times, Norman Conquest has told others their joke was old. He posts very old jokes fairly frequently. One example was fairly recently he posted that two guys were peeing in the river and one said water is cold, other said deep too. That line was used, and was very old at the time in the movie "Slingblade" which came out in 1996.

Visited our local Veterans home yesterday and met a 96yr old lady that was shot in WWII while in the Air Force.
The lady could not talk, but her caregiver told this to me.

Norm, I appreciate that you retread old jokes. Often times, it is one I had forgotten or possibly missed when it came around. So why criticize others when they do it? I post jokes as I hear them.

I assumed it was a serious question, but I too thought that was a pretty clever and funny comment. Probably because my 1st wife turned into a wildebeast after a couple years of marriage and always seemed to be on some kinda diet... That was 40 years ago and she's still a wildebeast.
