I was watching a TV show and someone asked a prospective employee what they are good at. The answer was “I like to kick ass!”” What the hell does that mean??

Probably means nothing! The question was "good at". Not "like to". People will say anything when they have no answer.

Stupid answer because of ambiguous meaning. Kick as means literally kicking someone's ass physically, in which case it's an immediate rejection. Kick as can also mean "Knocking it out of the Park". So poor choice of words on the part of the interviewee, but needs a follow up question or two.
