Insects For Food! Login/Join

I was reading an article about how nutrition insects are.

And the idea of farming them for food.

Then someone started on ethics!

I laughed so much my throat aches!

The utter stupidity of some people is astounding!

Not uncommon in many cultures. I guess I would try one once. They can't be more disgusting than oysters.

We went through all the insects and shit in survival training. Snails, grubs, scorpions etc.
We were told to pull the guts from grasshoppers first or risk a tapeworm if uncooked.

I have no problems being likened to grasshopper.

But sure do not wish to be likened to a pig! rotflmo

Driving in Tanzania once, yipyapping non stop, a bloody tse tse fly went into my mouth and I swallowed it!

I had the car stopped - with everyone laughing - got the Tabasco out of the lunch box and took a swig off it!

Told them I can’t eat meat without Tabasco! rotflmo

Funny you mention fishing.

We are in Northern Sweden and our neighbor has a salmon farm.

He buys tiny ones every year and feeds them for about 18 months then sells them.

He wanted to catch some and smoke them, so I went with him, and made video with my drone of the whole operation.

Apparently word got around, and no sooner we were on the shore than people started coming to buy salmon.

He was fishing them with a big net, not a line!

If you have managed to extricate yourself from the Stone Age and use modern communications like WhatsApp send me your number on a PM.

I will send you pictures. rotflmo
