jimatcatIt took 42 yrs to get a "dream gun".....
had a good weekend this last week... g/f and i went to houston to the AR/BBA semi-annual DWG shoot.... while i didn't place, it was great anyway... good friends and great guns... i took several guns/projects in hope of selling something to pay for a harley and/or 505 gibbs project... that didnt happen....so.... sunday morning we went to the SAXET gunshow in robstown txs... i took a '94 winchester in 38-55, made in '1901, and a browning 3" auto-5, belgium gun, 30" mod-vent bbl for trading material... sold both of these to the 3rd vendor that looked at them, then i went shopping.... i got a nice browning BAR grade 2 in .300 win mag for $425... and then i found "IT".... "IT" is a richland arms 10ga 3 1/2" side by side, double trigger shotgun...seller wanter $415 for it and with $$$ burning a hole in my pocket, i rubbed my fingers together simulating counting cash.... he came down to $350 in 1 offer... i nearly dropped my money clip digging it out of my pocket to pay him.... i remember as a 10 yr old looking in herter's catalogues' at this massive gun... i think it was priced at like $79.... it took 42 yrs to make it home, but now i got a new toy....

Idaho SharpshooterI can still remember (at least my shoulder can) shooting one of those for the first time about 1979. Stood up and fired at a flock of Canadians going overhead. Killed the goose, and dropped me like Mike Tyson would have.
Are you going to choke tube it?

I recall walking through the parking lot of the Astro-Hall / Arena complex after a gun show once with a big grin on my face following the procurement of a prize lifelong dream gun!

Enjoy!
