For years the rumor has been going around that there was at least one Patterson revolver at the Alamo. Now considering that Sam Colt filed his patent on February 23, 1836 + that was the 1st day of the siege, it seems unlikely in that day + time that a gun could make it from Hartford to Texas in that amount of time. Any ideas on this subject?

Randy, I hadn't heard this. It does seem nearly impossible. If I make it down to San Antonio next month to see the visiting Travis Letter exhibit, I will ask staff if they have heard this. Here's a reasonably in-depth discussion of the role of the Paterson in revolver evolution by Mike Beliveau. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajKNXja6FH0&t=1748s There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author
