Okay, step right up, here it is: the Ultimate (wishfully speaking) Official Mark Sullivan Discussion Thread! Please use this space to explain how fantastic Mark Sullivan is...or what a goof he is...or how nondescriptly mediocre he is...or anything else that relates to him. Please! Do it here!

I can't be the only AR member who subscribes to the Offered Hunts forum in order to get email notifications when a new post is made there. It ensures that if a great deal pops up on a hunt that interests me, I will know about it right away and can hopefully make plans. Up till recently, the plan has worked splendidly...the last couple of hunts I have purchased came about as a result of seeing them posted here.

But then, an agent posted an offer in that forum for the infamous Ear-Tag Hunt in South Africa, sweetened (?) by the bonus opportunity to worship at the feet of Mark Sullivan. That was the beginning of the end...the TWO (!!!) threads devoted to that dog-and-pony show have swollen to obscene proportions, new posts pour in by the minute, my email inbox is flooded with this crap and I am so fed up with reading about it that I withdrew my subscription to that forum just to get some peace and quiet. But then what happens when a super-duper deal crops up and I miss it?

Prior to this I had no interest in Mark Sullivan, and at one time got a minor chuckle from the comments about him that would appear from time to time in assorted threads. But now? Geez, at the moment I hate that name with a passion...he's probably a great guy in person, but just hearing his name is beginning to cause me gastric upset. And "Express Yourself"? Again, it's just an irrational knee-jerk reaction, but right now if he posted an offer for an all-inclusive 21-day full-bag Tanzanian extravaganza for $3000 I wouldn't even call him!

I can't post in those threads asking people not to post. So how about it, guys and gals...can we let the Offered Hunts forum begin to once again function as it is intended...and bring the idiotic discussion over here? I.E, to a spot where it can be conveniently ignored by those that prefer to do so?

So true. Thank you jwm.
I have no opinion of the man. Have never met him. I am also not offended at any hunts posted for sale. To each his own. I WOULD however, take his offer of a $3000 full bag hunt. Smiler

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

Maybe someone can provide info on why Mark Sullivan does not have a booth at DSC or SCI.

At least he is welcome on AR even if Saeed does not like him.

Glad there is minimal censorship on AR.

He was kicked out of SCI for some BS...by a group of clowns who give each other trophies and plaques for collecting all the color phases of fringe-eared gazzorrks.

Anything happen with DSC ?

All I know from other hunters is Mark Sullivan has A grade concessions in Tanzania. His Tanzania hunts are serious high dollar hunts and I don't think he needs to sell those at a convention.

I don't know anything about his relationship with DSC...My experience with Mark was a few interactions with him at SCI and a lunch that he invited my wife and I to. I have a good friend that hunted with Mark in Tanzania in either 08/09 but can't remember what concession. I messaged him and asked....it's been awhile since we talked about it, but it was a 21 day hunt and he had nothing but good things to say and yes he shot his own animals and no charges. Big Grin

If my memory is right...it was Tanzania big game safaris. But in get confused easily hilbily

Why not? You wouldn't even have to leave the camp, or bring a rifle, because Sullivan would shoot all the animals for you anyway!

He only shoots the animals that have "chosen to die" by his rifle.
