Didn't realize OP was non USA. In my area most hunters use both. Shotgun for upland (rabbit and such) and birds (quail, pheasant, grouse) Rifle for deer and larger game. There are exceptions, but above comments true most of the time Support the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation

I've heard that many hunters use rifle for feather, so this question. They like rifles more than shotgun?

Vashper: In the US, it is illegal to hunt or take ducks, geese or migratory fowl with a rifle. It is also illegal to hunt birds with a rifle in some states, BUT in some places turkeys can be taken with a rifle. As stated, most hunters use rifles for game and shotguns for birds, but, again, in some places, mostly due to population density, it is illegal to hunt deer with rifles and then hunters are restricted to shotguns. Hope this helps but it is not completely clear cut unless you ask about a specific animal/bird and a specific area. xxxxxxxxxx When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere. NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR. I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.
