Swamp_FoxYou are absolutely right. It's a boat...
Correction....it's what's left of a boat...

GatogordoWithout seeing the inside, it is hard to comment, but based on what I see, with a minimum of work it could be made perfectly functional. Replacing the wood should be no problem. If you're on a budget, use 3/4 inch exterior plywood and paint it thoroughly, especially sealing the edges. It won't last like marine plywood, but should serve for years if you give it some attention as you install it. Not everyone can afford or needs the latest/greatest to enjoy a day on the water. Go for it.

p dog shooterJunk not worth the time or effort. There are many nice boats out there.
That does not look like one.

wasbeemanNot being able to see the inside, I'd guess it could very well turn into a money pit where you end up with more time and money tied up than a new one would cost. And, if you decide to sell the finished product, you'll never get the money you've put into it back.

The transom looks shot, the hull needs a few cracks filled and maybe reinforced on the inside. The inside is another matter, hard to tell whether it's the kind of place you'd place a fanny. Is this a freebie?
