Thank you for sharing that address.

It is incredible and when one realizes the extent of the Mississippi drainage it is hard to believe.

Can not wait to see the Amazon drainage considering how much bigger it is than the Mississippi

Thanks for posting that. tu2

About 5 miles north of Olney off of State highway 79 there is Historical marker about a point just to the northwest of the highway where a ridge seperates three different watersheds.

The Brazos, Trinity and Red river watersheds basically meet.

The Brazos and Trinity both flow into the Gulf and the Red is part of the Mississippi drainage.

Even the rocks don't last forever.

Yes indeed, thanks. In my naivetie I have commented in the past why the government chanel water where it's needed the most? Just a case in point;where the Mississippi dumps untold volumes into the sea,how about a reroute to the Colorado to help the rice farmers, irrigation uses + water usage in general.Water is a major issue everywhere but especially here in Texas where the growth spurt has become potentially catastrophic to those of us who live here. You can't drink money.

Never mistake motion for action.
