I don't see the need for a pm in this case. I've been in and out of SD for years, currently am down to 25K shares.

I don't know anything that is not public info but we can talk about SD if you want to.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

Jim Cramer on Mad Money backed away from Sandridge Energy today and pointed the caller to Magnum Hunter. (I don't have any history with either company.)

I personally stay a little clear of oil companies even though the oil industry was my profession. I got burned by small production company investments in the last big bust in the mid-80s. If it is not a "major", I don't go near it.

My only current oil/gas holding is BP, based more on the damage inflicted on the company by the Macondo blowout, and my belief that BP could ultimately recover from it.

All I would suggest is that you stay nimble. When the boom ends, and it will, the depth of the bust can take your breath away.

Having said that I am heavy in other areas of the industry; offshore drillers, pipelines, and energy service. There is good money to be made.
