Years ago when I was doing a lot of camping in a tent, I found the Rand McNally Camp Guide to be invaluable. It listed camp sites that otherwise you'd not known about. It lists what is available at the site. A shower was a must as we didn't have a self contained unit with shower. One time on Route 66 it was extremely hot out on the desert. A campground was listed 10 miles off the highway. It was in the mountains and COOL. Never would have guessed it was there. | ||
