| In the competition arena it is considered a mount of poor taste and is not allowed. To the general public, which we are constantly trying to educate about hunting, this mount alone would defeat the cause as it shows an animal suffering. Personally, I feel a mount should glorify the majestic animal that has been taken, not immortalize the process. I can see why it would be getting bad press on Archerytalk as most archers take pride in a clean kill shot. We would not mount this pose but suggest a different pose and explain why. Kind regards, Mary

| I can't say anymore other then to echo this was a very poor decision to have this done. Mary explained it best! That headform works well when the Deer is simply portrayed as though it is grooming itself, not licking a bleeding wound. Bad choice. I would never let a piece like that out of my studio. And if the client wanted it done so bad as to take it elsewhere to get it done, I would show him the door. John.

Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

| I've been around long enough to have been asked to do those and I always refuse. It's tasteless, crude, and just plain damned stupid for anyone to want a mount like that in their home or showroom. Just what PETA needs to lump us all as "bloodsport" seekers.

| What's next? Mount of a gutted deer on the tailgate of truck with its tongue hanging out? This mount is horrible. I'm embarassed for the deer, the genius that mounted it, everyone who has been exposed to it, and, most of all, the idiot that proudly displays this crap in his home. It probably would be best if the picture was deleted off this forum so that we are not accociated with it.

| Why would you? unless you are an anti and want to portray the shock value of hunting to the general public. This mount is disgusting!!!!This is the kind of thing the anti's look for and expect from hunters.
