Am off for some Black Game and Capercaille in Sweden on Friday, and can't get an answer from my taxidermist (who is on holidays) on how they should be preserved for him to prepare... Should I freeze them? If freezing is not an option (as no electricty there), what should I do? Thanks all for your help!!

Freezing them is your best option, if not they need to be taken to a local taxidermist who can skin and prep them for shipping. Jerry Huffaker State, National and World Champion Taxidermist

Orvar. Freeze them. If not I know a good bird taxidermist in Norwich who could probably give you verbal instructions on what to do.. PM me for his number. Lucky man, closest I got to bagging a capercaillie was in the car in North Sweden. SWS
