As you may have seen in my other posts,my main plan once I touch SA soil is the kudu, which is being caped for a full shoulder mount. However my outfitter has offered me a deal on an eland that I cant pass up..Heres the headache. I dont care for eland mounts european or normal, but I love their horns and the thought of nailing one with the lott..The wall I'm mounting the kudu on is large, and off white(22' longx15'high).So I'm thinking kudu in the middle, then make to dark wooded placks each one holding an eland horn upright, like the old style candle sticks, and mount them on either side of the kudu.Any ideas?????

I've seen lamps made from Kudu horns in Jo'burg airport. Same idea, use the Eland horns, I have photo's of the Kudu lamps, I'll go look for them and post for you "America's Meat - - - SPAM" As always, Good Hunting!!! Widowmaker416

I have thought of doing the same with other horns and by adding an ostridge egg on top with a light inside!!

Doug, I found the photo of the lamp, this is a wall mounted one, but gives you an idea as to what we talked about on the phone. It has an ostrich egg on the top with many holes in it for the bulb to shine out, neat affect! "America's Meat - - - SPAM" As always, Good Hunting!!! Widowmaker416
