Hoping to get a nice bull later this year. I'm not interested in really having anything mounted. Bring back the tusks of course, probably the skull (I have a pretty good skull collection) and then I was thinking maybe a femur bone? Ears for a painting? Not a fan of the feet as a waste basket thing. Any ideas on what to bring back would be appreciated. Also any recommendations on who does good ear paintings? thanks | ||

Old time Big Game hunter Harry Snyder, lived on a ranch near here. He had an elephant foot he kept his liquor in. Not sure how I feel about the painted ear thing. Just something about it that I'm not keen on. One thing I thought I would like is to take the tail off at the root and mount it hanging down against the wall, but not stiff, more natural. I've never seen it done but I can picture it in my mind's eye. Not sure about the "foot stools". I think I like 'em but I'm not sure they'd fly with the wife. Now an elephant skull? I'm fully in on that. Especially if there was a well placed hole through the forehead that you could admire. So long as it's not your PH's bullet!
