Headed to the Selous in September. Two buffalo are on license, so I starting looking around for ideas on mounts. Since finding room for two shoulder mounts would be tough, thought about one shoulder mount and one European mount. But I saw this mount at a local Gander Mountain and it is sort of intriguing. A real space saver for sure and could be set on a shelve, a table, etc. Just wanted to share it.

I would rather have a European mount.

If you're going to make a hole, make it a big one.

Shouldn't it be turned around.

Walker,

Absolutely correct, it is backwards.

I hate it. It is backwards, and it also looks poorly done to me. I would recommend you go with a full skull on a pedistal panel.

It's only been placed backwards on the case. I imagine it low on a table or such, in that case it wouldn't take much room and would look ok.

It looks like some Viking hat for Halloween.

Sorry, not my style...

It appears that the "mounting plate" is on a pedestal connected to a "base plate" type of arrangement, mounted at an angle. In which case, I'm not sure it could be turned around.

I think the "taxidermist" just blew it.

Have to agree with Coldbore on that.
Looks like the top plaque was screwed on back to front. Easy fix though.
