Guys, I got my eland back skin tanned, hair off in RSA. One thing that I'd like to try and do with it is do some wet molded scabbards for some knives. Upon doing some research on wet molding I've found that you need to use vegetable tanned leather. How does one tell what kind of tanning was done on a skin? I had it tanned in SA. Maybe I'll snip off a couple of small pieces and try molding them each in water and alcohol. That would probably be definitive. Thanks!! -Steve -------- www.zonedar.com If you can't be a good example, be a horrible warning DRSS C&H 475 NE -------- | |||
