My expericnce at the 2009 show.
Hello.
I made it back from the US, reluctantly.
It was great to sit and talk with some of, (my), most highly regarded taxidermists.
I guess you have to be a taxidermist to understand how humbling it was to be amongst those guys, just to listen to thier advice.
Most of the mounts I gazed apon were mind blowing, for me.
Well done to all the award winners.

I did enter a small, insignifigant, piece...a coyote pedestal.
I made 1 really stupid mistake, amongst some unseen by myself and recieved a second place.
I didnt think much of it at the time but seeing the mounts and talking with those who recieved nothing makes me feel proud to achieve that at my first comp.

Here he/she is:

I'm not an expert, but looks like a damned fine mount to me. Congrats!

Shehuntz, tho' I saw you there, I did not get to talk to you.
Your eye roll on the coyote just makes you stare back at him.
To take a second at the World Show is all I did at my first one in 1997.
The standards are much higher than at ANY state level show.
You did GOOD!!!!!!!!
Your Well on your way !
Kudo's to you.

Sam,

Saw that yote on taxi-net, didn't know it was yours. You did a fantastic job on that mount. A 2nd place ribbon in the Prof. division is a great accomplishment for your first World Show!

Congratulations on a job well done,
Mary

Congrats on your award, IMHO it's a great looking mount. Coyotes can be a challenge to capture "the look." You did an excellent, award winning job.
Cheers,
David

I think the mount looks great. If you don't mind my asking, what was the mistake?

I'll say it again, that is one hell of a mount. I'd be proud to have it in my home, and I spent 17 years as a professional Taxidermist.
You did real good as we say in the South.
Regards,
David

That's alright. I still think it looks great. That mount would be a fine addition to any trophy room.
