Looks like some bugs got into my horns while in quarantine. Any suggestions on what to use to fill these holes? And then maybe rub a polish or stain on the horns?

First things first, make sure they are no longer present. May want to get with a pest control expert for some fumigation. The pros can suggest better fillers. Epoxy dyed to match the horn color would be my choice, but it might not match the texture of the horn without some additional detail work. Good taxidermists can match and add horn that you would never be able to tell from real. Jeremy

Bore worms definitely need to make sure they are dead if you don't want to take it to a taxidermist you can purchase a product called epoxy sculpt. It's a two part epoxy putty that will work. It cures hard enough to sand or carve to match the texture of the horn or you can smooth it with water while it's still wet Jerry Huffaker State, National and World Champion Taxidermist

The taxidermist taking care of the shipment on that side took care of worms, but the damage had already been done in the field. I will look into the epoxy sculpt. Would you recommend using any type of stain or polish after to darken up the horns? thank you
