Here is a NM ibex my buddy from ND shot this past Feb on the muzzleloader hunt.

Ben had pure hell on this hunt and missed some absolute MONSTERS we put him on. His muzz was acting up (it was his turret system on the gun).. I know they haunt him as badly as they do me.

Finally on the LAST day of the season (we got him switched out on guns), he was able to connect with this billy. Talk about sweatin' it out to the last minute..

Anyhow, he was 110% happy and decided that he earned a lifesize mount with his billy. I was happy to oblige.

Here is the finished product: Off to North Dakota soon.

I wish I could work on these Capra species all the time. I really enjoy working on them.

I guess I need to start applying again for that hunt. Anyone know if they are rutting during the muzzy hunt?
