| A taxidermist should be able to clean the mount, touch up paint etc.. The hair needs to be cleaned and aired out. It may be difficult to completely get rid of that smokey bar smell. A lot of sun light is not good for mounts but after it is professionally cleaned you can set it outside for a little while on a breezy sunny day and that will help alot. If the bear was tanned and mounted well the mount can be washed and shampooed then blow dried. If you do not know if or how it was tanned, do not get it wet. There are dry spray on cleaners that can do a good job. This cleaning really should be done by your taxidermist. |
