I'm getting just the skull back from my Cape Buffalo hunt, and want to do a Euro style mount that features the Dauntless custom broadhead and/or arrow that did the deed. The arrow penetrated through the far side of the buff about 9 inches, then broke when he ran through a bush. The pic shows the two pieces. How best do I mount this on the shield? Do I mount just the head or the two pieces of arrow? Thanks for any suggestions - an artist I aint! Don_G ...from Texas, by way of Mason, Ohio and Aurora, Colorado!

Maybe the skull and the broadhead below on the shield? Forget the broken arrow. ~Ann

That's my backup position, if I can't figure a good way to include the arrow. With my kinfolk the bare broadhead is liable to generate comments like "what kinda rifle shoots that?" Don_G ...from Texas, by way of Mason, Ohio and Aurora, Colorado!

One suggestion would be a panel for the arrow and broadhead that could be hung below the Euro mount. It would probably show up better against a lighter colored wood. Another idea would be to take a section of tanned buffalo hide and stetch/glue it down onto a piece of panel board. Frame this and attach the arrow and broadhead to the framed skin, creating a sort of shadow box/framed display. This could be hung near the Euro mount or could stand alone. You could also work in a trophy photo if you wanted.
