I posted a couple of pictures in "Pedestal mount plans" in this Forum, of a double mount pedestal and a single mount pedestal made from cherry wood.

Browse through both the Taxidermy Forum and the Trophy Rooms Forum. Both show a lot of great pedestals.

I had this one done.
It was custom made by a woodburner and cabinet maker. Walnut and maple. It is a functioning cabinet and/or end table.

This may not be as dramatic as some of the others but I like it. I designed the base, built it out of oak, and even made the rocks.

Thanks for looking!

And so if you meet a hunter who has been to Africa, and he tells you what he has seen and done, watch his eyes as he talks. For they will not see you. They will see sunrises and sunsets such as you cannot imagine, and a land and a way of life that is fast vanishing. And always he will will tell you how he plans to go back. (author: David Petzer)
