I just got this back from the taxidermist today. I'll try and post some pics from my picasa account. I might need some help.

This duck looks different from every angle. It's neat to walk around it because it constantly changes.

The Taxidermist cast molds of the beak and feet, then made his own out of the castings.

My 11 year old son shot this bird, we told the Taxidermist only two things, wings set and mouth open, (my son's chosing), then told the taxidermist to take it from there.

These are cell phone pics. They honestly don't do justice to how nice the duck looks.

My sons first year duck hunting, we had a lot of fun. This is about as nice a wood duck as you will find in Wisconsin. I'm really pleased with how well it turned out.

I can't say I've ever seen a mount exactly like this one. I like the open mouth and the feet, in the house it really comes to life. Thanks for looking.

Really nice duck mount. Smiler It really comes to live.
How much do you pay for a mount like that in the US?

I tried for years to get a good woodie drake before I was successful. Where I grew up in Colorado was just a bit too far to the west. To say they were scarce would be an understatement.

Finally got one and had it mounted almost the same as this one. They really are a beautiful bird. Enjoy looking at him and remembering a day in the field.
