This may not be the appropriate forum for this question but here goes. After seeing Craig Bottingtons LD, I am considering using The Wildlife Gallery. Has anyone else here used them.

They have done one mount for me. Several of my friends have also used them. They do very nice work. I would be very comfortable using them again.

I'm not about to bad mouth anyone's taxidermy work. We're all capable of doing a "bad" piece occasionally, but considering that you are located in the "Mississippi Delta", why would you consider using a service on the opposite end of the United States? Louisianna and Mississippi have some of the finest artisans in the business and the tannery that "invented" wet tanning techniques, Seminole Fur Dressing, is right there in Alabama. The freight will be considerably less (along with the security of your mount in a transAmerica shipment). You can also discuss, in person, exactly what you want and will expect.

I have had numerous mounts done for me over the years by the Wildlife Gallery and can recommend them without any hesitation. They do world class work. They do their own tanning and are one of the largest tanneries in the US. They even have their own 18 wheelers they use to pick up raw hides from taxidermists all over the US and deliver finished capes.

They run a very professional outfit and have a 3 month turnaround time for mounts. (At the present time, turnaround is 8 weeks)

A nice feature they have is a complimentary system whereby they take pictures of your mounts as they move through the taxidermy process and they email them to you periodicaly as progress reports. They are not cheap, but very fairly priced all things considered.

h Kittle,

Thanks for your interest. Mr. Boddington's LDE was a great opportunity for my Team to showcase our abilities. Mr. Roof's comments have valid merit and that's why we go to great lengths to keep from having a "bad" mount. You should always consider all factors before trusting any taxidermist with one or all of your trophies. As you are aware it takes many things to collect such animals including but not limited to "lady luck" and most often a large investment of time and money.

There are many checks and balances to ensure the highest quality, and the customer always has the final say regarding the work being to their standards. We also go the extra mile to ensure our customers are close to their projects and not just assuming the work is being completed. We have a business staff that is dedicated to customer service, which includes weekly updates via a personal website created by us. This allows you the customer to KNOW for a fact we will complete your work in the time promised and it is being mounted the way in which you want it to be displayed. Because of this business staff our taxidermy staff can do what they do best and that is taxidermy work. This is what allows us to complete the projects so timely. Our taxidermists are not being interrupted with the business end of things and can focus on the task at hand. Making a world class mount for the customer to display for a life time of enjoyment.

The final portion of this process is delivering it to your door. Because 80% of our work is transported outside our Michigan based Studio, we have a dedicated delivery crew and two trucks. Your mounts will be handled and transported by our staff that are accountable to you the customer. We are able to typically keep the costs much lower than using third party freight, however extra cost for delivery is certainly a consideration when NOT using a local taxidermist. Another option we have for delivery is using our Texas Distribution Center for drop off and pick up.

I hope this answered any questions you might have from us here at The Wildlife Gallery. If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to contact me personally.... DAN

Committing ourselves to world class turnaround and quality.
