I caught a 10 lb bass today, the largest of my 21 years. I let the old girl go, but not before taking measurements and pictures. I want to get a reproduction done, and was wanting some suggestions for the best people to deal with, what to look for, etc. Thanks in advance for the help!

jdsThis one is easy . . . Ron Kelly at Fish Creations. He is at Lake Fork in Texas and handles big bass every day. He has a complete line of his own reproductions with clear, flexible fins and does a paint job that is unmatched. He has served as fish judge at numerous taxidermy competitions, and has presented many seminars on reproduction fish and painting techniques so he comes with the qualifications.

And so if you meet a hunter who has been to Africa, and he tells you what he has seen and done, watch his eyes as he talks. For they will not see you. They will see sunrises and sunsets such as you cannot imagine, and a land and a way of life that is fast vanishing. And always he will will tell you how he plans to go back. (author: David Petzer)

L. David KeithThe Lake Fork Texas area has several competent fish replica Taxidermist's, including a lady named Debbie (can't remember her last name). Be sure you give them a color scheme of what Alabama largemouth look like. They only have full blown color patterns with specific water temp's and or time of year. Pics of live local bass would be helpful. Another option is Shawn Galea in Ontario, Canada. They do outstanding work on fishes of the world. Some of the best I've ever seen. LDK
