Pheasant Taxidermy - Can this be saved?

I shot this beautiful bird last week in SD and really want to save it and have it mounted. The only damage from the shot is the two areas below. The back of the head is missing as it was shot in the head. Some back feathers are also missing.

Can a good bird taxidermist save this mount?

Pretty hard to make it perfect again. I'd just wait till you can get a better specimen.
