I live in Denver and I am looking for a local shop to mount an impala, kudu and gemsbok. Is Jonas worth the price? I know they have been around for a 100 years but today are you just paying for a name? Any thoughts are appreciated.

As a taxidermist myself for over 35 years and a competitor of thiers I think Jonas Bros of Denver still produces some great work, and their prices are also very competitive for top of the line taxidermy.

I don't agree. I had a mate of mine get a brown bear done by these guy's a couple of years ago because they had a "good name" but when it was shipped it was one of the most dated mounts i have even seen and would never let them do any work for me aftr that id they were the last taxidermist on the planet! sorry but thats the way i feel about my hard paid for trophies Confused

Very simply --they ain't what they used to be! There are other shops that are considerably better for true high quality if that is what you are looking for --- if you want average -- then they might be able to achieve that level of work ---

OMG!-- my bow is "pull-push feed" - how dreadfully embarrasing!!!!!

the jonas brothers? what does a shitty teenage band have to do with taxidermy? maybe a 14 year old deaf girl would like them, but i'd take my stuff to a taxidermist! =) Big Grin

Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

A friend of mine recently went to work for Jonas Brothers. His name is Cliff and he is an extremely talented taxidermist that has done a LOT of excellent work in the past. His business got hammered in the weak economy of recent years, hence the move.

Even though he's moved to Jonas Brothers, any future work will likely be done through them, by Cliff. I'd go there and ask to have Cliff do the work if possible.
