How much extra time does it take to clear your shipment if there's a warthog in the mix? If you just ship the tusks does that make a difference? How much harder does it make to clear it yourself?

Never worry about theory as long as the machinery does what it's supposed to do.

No extra time if the paper work is there,

No, the tusks are still part of the warthog. Unless you get the company in Africa to clean and polish them, and put them on a panel, then it's a finshed piece. If they are loose then:

You can not clear it yourself, the shippment has to go to a USDA approved establishment.

Wanderer,

Get your shipping agent to (a) pack your warthog trophy in plastic so it does not contaminate other trophies and then the skull and tusks can be placed in a smaller cardboard box which then can go into your trophy crate.
